Kentrosaurus
Description
The Kentrosaurus was probably an herbivore. Researchers conclude this from skeletal remains. The Kentrosaurus were relatives of the Stegosaurus. However, the Kentrosaurus had a body length of about 5 metres, were thus much smaller and they carried their plates and spines arranged in pairs on the back and tail. It is believed that these plates and spikes were their defence against enemies or were used during courtship.
